Davood B. Pourkargar, assistant professor of chemical engineering, has received a $245,000 grant from the National Science Foundation to enhance the understanding of drug delivery dynamics through a multiscale modeling framework utilizing organ-on-a-chip experiments and machine learning.

- K-State researchers develop materials to lower operating temperatures of fuel cell and hydrogen production technology
Chuancheng Duan, assistant professor in the Tim Taylor Department of Chemical Engineering, and his team of researchers in the Materials Research Laboratory for Sustainable Energy and collaborators have developed a breakthrough in the race to develop commercially scalable and high-performing protonic ceramic electrochemical cells for efficient power generation and low-cost hydrogen production.
- Edgar receives Iman Outstanding Faculty Award for Research
James Edgar, university distinguished professor of chemical engineering, is the receipient of the Iman Outstanding Faculty for Research Award sponsored by the K-State Alumni Association. The ceremony will take place Sept. 7 at 4 p.m.

Andrew Woolley, senior in chemical engineering, is the recipient of the A. McLaren White Award for his first-place-winning entry in the American Institute for Chemical Engineers national student design competition.
